Upgrades

This section is pretty much completed, if there is something anyone wants added plaese contact me about it.

Press A for a single shot, and hold A for a charged up shot. Beam Weapons
There are five beams you get to control on Metroid Prime.

The first is the Power beam, which you have no matter what you do. Hold up on the C stick to trigger this beam.

The second beam is the Wave Beam, which you get for defeating the Sheegoth in Phendrana Drifts. A wave of electricity with three arms runs out of this weapon. Hold right on the C stick to trigger this beam.

The third beam is the Ice Beam, which you get for draining a ramp in the Chozo Ruins. This beam will freeze enemies or just annoy some of them. Hold left on the C stick to trigger this beam.

The fourth beam is the Plasma Beam, which you get for grappling a lot in Magmoor Caverns. My personal favorite. This beam shoots out a blast of fire that will burn an enemy fast. Hold down on the C stick to trigger this beam.

The final beam is the Phazon Beam, which you only get during the Core part of the boss battle against Metroid Prime. You stand in a pile of liquid Phazon and hold A to shoot out an endless (until the pile is gone) beam of Phazon.

Missiles

Hit the Y button to use missiles. When you collect the Combo Missile things for each of the beams you will have an extremely charged up missile. Do this by holding the A button and then hitting Y. It takes five missiles every time you do a Charged Missile Combo. This will get you to many areas that were never possible to get to until you have this. You collect missiles in packs of five and then also reload in packs of five. There are a lot of missile packs.

Jumping

Hit the B button to jump and reach platforms that you cannot walk onto. When you get the Space Jump Boots you can Double Jump by hitting B and then hitting it again when you are in the air.

Morph Ball

Press X to go into the Morph Ball. This will allow you to get into small places that were unreachable without this. Once you have Bombs, you can blow up enemies or passageways. Hit A to use Bombs. This will also allow you to jump if you lay one and sit on it in Morph Ball mode. When you get the Power Bombs, you can blow up huge amounts of debris in front of you. Press Y to lay Power Bombs. When you get the Boost Ball you can hold Band let go to move extremely fast up ramps or away from enemies. When you get the Spider Ball, you can cling to rails that are magnetic. You must hold R to become magnetic, but when you get this power up your Morph Ball has inverted sides no matter what. You can use Bombs while holding R to blast enemies are jump to a higher rail. If there is a row under you that leads the way, let go of R and hold it again before you pass the rail underneath.

The Grapple Beam

This item is lost for a long time, and you get it while in Phendrana Drifts.  It will allow you to jump and hang from certain areas on the ceiling.  This definitely helps when you know how to use it.  The grapple beam is a small beam of light that comes from Samus' Arm Cannon.
